This book was extremely difficult to comprehend as a student. The factual information was more or less correct, but the manner in which it was written was absolutely terrible. Some of the questions ask you to refer to a third party website, rather than actually explain the terminology and construction of certain structures.
Several errors in the books, and a lot of information that was in chapters that had absolutely no business being in the reviews of others. The book will ask questions in a confusing manner. I ask that a teacher thinking about using this book seriously reconsiders, this was not a good learning experience.

Book should have come with a reference wheel in the front of the book to be able to determine symbols easily the wheel would be on the page in the second photo, I know this because the copy my instructor uses has this symbol, and his is not an instructors version or anything. Instead, it now has a page telling you how to get to a website app that has the wheel instead. Oh great! Here we have an example of a company taking advantage of students. Having to pay for something else that used to be included in the text, and they only have an online version. Disappointing, but I guess we can't expect more than that from any textbook publisher. Teacher's key varied from actual answers, also book was not formatted intuitively and was difficult to learn from. The book was too technical for a beginner. The homework required you to flip back and forth between pages and also didn't indicate where you could find the answer to a question if I didn't know it and understanding what the question was even asking was frustrating.
I felt like I learned very little from the homework especially considering how much time I spent on it. I used the blueprints in this instructional book to make many intriguing items. I decided to take up welding after I retired from a lucrative prison career. Upon my release, I decided to learn to create lava. Once the lava cooled, I thought I could use it for more nefarious reasons. This book has assisted me much. I love rice krispies. One person found this helpful.
It has about pages, and about 6 blow-up blueprint at the end of the book which are 4 time as big as a sheet of paper that is folded. Pages are color blue to show the feature of the drawings and diagram to make it easier to understand and follow. Would recommend it to anyone that want to learn how to read blueprint and welding symbol. Copyrights on every other illustration. Is that really necessary?
